About Us

Sandusky Packaging Corporation (SPC) was founded in 1965 by four owners. Richard M. Longer, President, Lester J. Norman, Secretary/Treasurer, William G. McRobbie, 1st Vice President, and Herbert G. Hoelzer, 2nd Vice President established the corporation’s mission and put a team into place. Others that contributed to the winning team were Oliver F. Rinderle, Vice President, Richard P. Holzapfel, Legal Counsel, Donald A. Hummel, Supervisor, Donald C. Lang, Die-Maker, and Richard D. Clark, Salesman. Together the founders held over 68 years of folding carton experience. They considered their employees their most valuable asset and their mission was to provide a quality product that exceeded customer expectations at a competitive price.

Four decades later, the majority of the current owners/management team comprise the 2nd and 3rd generation of the founding fathers.

Keeping the values inherited from the owners, but changing our product with the market, we currently manufacture custom folding cartons for a variety of industries including automotive after-market, pharmaceutical, hardware, food industry, as well as household products, etc. We have become a corporation of choice for business and customers looking for a partner focused on their success.

SPC is ISO9000:2001 certified. This certification represents a standardization of procedures within our plant that helps us operate more efficiently and guarantees you, the customer, a quality product with on-time delivery. Sandusky Packaging is also a member of the Erie County Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau of Ohio.

Our facility on George Street in Sandusky, is conveniently located midway between Cleveland and Toledo, on Lake Erie with easy access to all major interstates. Our building is situated on six acres and includes our corporate offices as well as our 50,000 square foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
